New Project - Lymington, Hampshire

A Home Hidden Within a Forest Setting…

We are deep into design for a new residence located on the edge of Lymington, within the ancient woodland of the New Forest, Hampshire.

This is not a home that seeks attention. Instead, it folds into its landscape. Quietly aligned to sunlight, shaded by tall ancient trees, and fragmented to reduce its presence. Our goal has been simple: ‘let the forest remain the protagonist‘.

The architecture draws from local barn typologies, pitched roofs, blackened timber, and elemental forms - reinterpreted with care and with sustainability at its core. Cross-laminated timber defines the structure. Rammed earth grounds it. Every decision respects the fragility of place.

This is a metaphysical architecture that listens to the sacred story of our clients journey. By embracing sustainability not as an addition, but as an inherent structural principle, the home establishes a dialogue between tradition and the possibilities of a more responsible, ecologically attuned future.

Work continues.
