Music for the Soul

As with all our projects, we work closely with our clients to uncover meaning rooted in the personal.

Resonance House is a home in South London, created to honour the life and legacy of a notable figure in the UK music industry, a producer, a creator, and a collector of sound.

Central to the design of the home is a vinyl archive monolith.

The album archive is a celebration, an intimate library of sonic artefacts distilled into a refined, powerful aesthetic. Crafted from concrete and bamboo, the piece sits at the heart of the home, acting as both a functional repository and a tactile monument to a lifetime of listening.

Bamboo was carefully selected as its flattened grain mirrors the vertical rhythm of vinyl spines. This mimics the visual language of the collection it contains.

Inspired in part by the legacy of architect Patrick Gwynne; whose nearby home is punctuated by elegant, highly personal functional objects. It is hoped that Resonance House will respond to its own genius loci with equal sensitivity.

This bespoke vinyl archive we hope will become the modal heartbeat of the house, quietly animating the space with the spirit of music, memory, and material honesty.
