Saule House

Saule House is a bespoke three-bedroom energy-efficient home located on the outskirts of Bristol, North Somerset, UK. A luxurious home defined by the use of light and the timeless geometry of the golden ratio.

The design is inspired by Latvian culture and uses the fern as a personal symbol of growth. The summer solstice is celebrated with a rotated bronze staff that creates a shadow of the sun symbol 'Saule' on an open hearth. Symbolizing the traditional bonfires lit on the shortest night of the year, a joyous holiday in Latvian culture.

This project is a blend of soft minimalism and deep cultural symbolism, creating a unique living experience with an emphasis on natural light within a woodland setting.
