Planning Granted for Black Swan House
Our team has received planning approval for Black Swan House in Scotland. More striking for us was the speed of the decision. It was granted well within the expected eight week period. It felt like a measured landing on all fronts.
The design settles onto the damn edge and cantilevers powerfully and effortlessly towards the water, all along a precise axis that meets the lake’s small island. This defines the architectural rigour of the project. The structure, the material strategy and the off grid systems work together to create a home that operates with conscious intention. A kinetic movable facade allows the building to shut down entirely when required, this adds a further layer of control and resilience to to the home.
Needless to say our client is delighted. With consent secured and some wonderful momentum we now move toward construction drawings, this is where each element will be refined and prepared for construction.
