Black Swan House

In the Scottish wilderness, Black Swan House cantilevers out and celebrates a measured landing on the edge of a remote reservoir in Ayrshire. The plan aligns on axis with a small island accessed by boat. Everyday living is set against the canvas of changing water and light. This is a place of deep solitude and silence. Off grid performance is integrated from the outset, and a kinetic façade allows the house to close down when our client is away.
