Triodos Bank HQ.

RAU Architects and Ex Interiors have completed an office building for Triodos Bank in the Netherlands featuring curving glazed facades and a timber structure that can be taken apart and remounted. The building was constructed using laminated timber, cross-laminated timber and unprocessed timber components that are joined together using screws, meaning they can be unscrewed and reused.

Joe Watson, the director of public programmes at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and his wife Clementine, on life in BedZED, Britain's first carbon-neutral mixed-use neighbourhood. Beddington Zero Energy Development – or BedZED – is an ambitious eco-friendly mixed-use project in south London, designed by Bill Dunster Architects for the Peabody Trust and Bioregional, completed in 2002 and shortlisted for the Stirling Prize.

Malcolm, Marie & Caterpillar House.

In Malcolm & Marie, architecture Is Zendaya and John David Washington’s subtle co-star. The intense Netflix drama was filmed at Jonathan Feldman’s Caterpillar House in Carmel, California. As the first LEED Platinum Custom Home on the Central Coast of California, the Caterpillar House is not only a work of impressive modern architecture, but also a prime example of environmentally-friendly design.

A Dutch couple have become Europe’s first tenants of a fully 3D printed house in a development that its backers believe will open up a world of choice in the shape and style of the homes of the future. The new home in the shape of a boulder is the first legally habitable property with load-bearing walls made using 3D-printing technology.

The home of architect Jim Olson—founder of Seattle-based practice Olson Kundig—is a monument to the principles that have underpinned his entire architectural career: the idea that buildings can serve as a bridge between nature, culture, histories and people. His 14-foot by 14-foot treetop house in Longbranch, Washington, is designed to encourage its inhabitants to look outwards and never forget that human beings are a part of the natural world.
