On Architecture as Language.

On Architecture as Language by Mies Van Der Rohe is an extract taken from the first audiobook CD to explore the highly influential Bauhaus school of art and architecture, which operated in Germany between 1919 and 1933. The spoken word element mainly centres around a talk by Walter Gropius, the architect and theoretician who founded the Bauhaus in 1919. The CD also includes contributions from the school's teacher Josef Albers. All interviews are in the English language.

Max Richter: Tiny Desk (Home) Concert.

There's a mysterious potency in instrumental music, where the mind is open to wander. Max Richter taps into that power with singular grace and humanity. Shot in black and white, Richter performs six meditative pieces on a piano for NPR Music's Tiny Desk (home) concerts.

Drawn Outdoors.

Those generous folks at Millican asked some of their creative community to design mindful colouring sheets that offer you a chance to day-dream of the adventures that lie ahead. A great activity for older and younger travellers alike, there are a number of colouring sheets to print at home and enjoy. Give yourself a moment to let your mind do the wandering.

Icographic Magazine.

Founded by John Halas, and edited and designed by Patrick Wallis Burke, Icographic Magazine was a quarterly Review of International Visual Communication Design that began in 1971. In other words, a magazine about symbols, fonts, pictograms & logos. The International Council of Design has all editions available online in PDF format.

Thanks to Present & Correct for leading us to this.

Mug.

Shot and edited by independent filmmaker Nicholas Bennett, ‘Mug’ shows the in-depth, precise processes involved in the craft of James and Tilla, an award winning studio potters based in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Whilst taking you on a mesmeric journey through their studio, the film emphasises the close natural sounds of James and Tilla's world, to create a captivating, and at times abstract reflection of their art.

Films.

We are excited to announce that we have created a new page on our website that showcases a series of short films that gives insight into what it feels like to live in the homes we make. A poetic journey into the moments and landscapes that our homes are situated within. We hope to add more as we continue to build, learn and make.
