Founded in Switzerland and globally at home, THE EMBASSIES is a global serviced living concept for lifestyle driven grown-ups, and radically changes the narrative on ageing presenting a new way to grow old. The concept includes an international network of individually curated communities in the world’s greatest cities providing all amenities and services for its members, residents and guests.

Margaret Howell x Blēo.

A strong and quiet presence in British design for over five decades, Margaret Howell, CBE has forged her very own brand of clothing characterised by simplicity, subtle details, and fine fabrics. She continues to work with many of the British heritage manufacturers and suppliers that she worked with since the very beginning of her career. Her private photographs of the British countryside have inspired the British designer in the development and curation of her Coastline colour palette for Blēo. Each colour has been chosen to reflect a considered, timeless appeal that blends effortlessly into both contemporary and traditional interior spaces. The nine muted shades, have been carefully developed by Margaret Howell to reflect the natural interventions that might be experienced on a coasted walk.

Norefjell.

The winter cabin in Norefjell is characterized by a simple and rigid geometry, that meets the rocky mountain terrain of Norefjell, northwest of Oslo. A modest material palette in pinewood planks and plywood, is contrasted by a render with a deep relief, forming a dialog with the surrounding nature of rocks and pine trunks.

The Hotspot.

Chill-seeking swimmers in Norway’s Nesodden peninsula have a new sauna in which to find respite from the frigid Oslofjord. The Hotspot, designed by Oslo Works architects and opened in 2024, hovers above the water on slender stilts with a dark-wood coat and gentle curvature that make it a strikingly picturesque addition to the snow-covered landscape. The exterior is clad with axe-cut pine shingles that have been treated with the Japanese yakisugi technique – a process involving the charring of each piece of wood before sealing it with oil for increased weather resistance and heat retainment.

Resonance House London.

Architecture and music share a common language of harmony, rhythm, and proportion. In Resonance House, a home for a lifelong music producer, this shared language becomes tangible. The design begins with a single, perfect circle—a clearing cut into a woodland canopy atop a gentle hill defines the site. This opening is the first note, a simple geometric presence that sets the tone for life to play out.
