A poetic, photographic overview of cleaning, the compact tome is divided into different tools and actions, from sweeping to scraping, wiping and dusting. Cleanliness is a core value of societies around the globe. So much so that cleaning seems to be an inherent part of human nature and an expression of how we interact with and domesticate our environment.

Akiko Ken Made.

Just North of Copenhagen resides a real power couple! Craftsmen Akiko Kuwahata and Ken Winther. Akiko being Japanese and Ken being Danish, work from their beautiful workshop in the Danish countryside. Both skilled cabinetmakers who initiate and work on their own designs separately came together to start ‘Akiko Ken Made’, combining Ken’s background as a furniture maker and Akiko’s eye for simple, modern design.

We recently presented our designs for a new stunning home located between Faro and Lagos. This dream residence will incorporate 3 cascading pools surrounded by a series of terraces that flow around the home and out into Faro’s landscape of rolling hills, olive groves and vineyards.
