We’ve just returned from a studio trip to the environmentally conscious city of Copenhagen. Not only a cycling paradise but birthplace of New Nordic cuisine and of course Danish Modern design.
In the early part of this year the studio was shortlisted in a high profile competition for a hillside housing development on the Faroe Islands.
We were proud to be the only UK architecture practice among the 23 multidisciplinary teams which were shortlisted from more than 140 submissions to the programme from around the world.
We were delighted to reach the very last part of the Nordic Built Cities Challenge following an invitation to attend the grand Nordic Finale in Copenhagen. Hence our visit.
All finalists from the six competitions competed in the awards. Out of the 23 finalists 19 teams signed up and met the requirements.
A huge congratulations to all the winners, we return motivated and inspried having met with some incredibly talented designers and thinkers.
More detailed information about the winners and their proposals can be found on the Nordic Built Cities website.
