David is particularly fascinated by research based and philosophically influenced Architecture. His final year project studied how the often harsh and capricious weather on the forsaken post-clearance coastline of western Scotland amplified the beauty and romance of a landscape of isolation.
In his spare time, David can usually be found outdoors honing his adventure and landscape photography.
Joelle graduated from the Welsh School of Architecture following a career in television and film design. With 15 years experience as an Art Director and Set Decorator for BBC Worldwide and independent film companies, she recently joined Hyde + Hyde, with a passion for narrative design and placemaking.
Joelle’s architectural interests lie in the textural qualities of space, and the scale of light, objects and materials in the production of architecture. Defining space and creating identity, her influences are cross cultural. Recent travels include an architectural exchange in Beijing and Tianjin, China.
BAFTA and EMMY Award nominated, she has been published in The Set Decorator’s Society of America, for her set design work.
