The practice has been busy preparing designs for Adain Avion ‘Cultural Olympiad 2012’.
Students from the Welsh School of Architecture and the University of Bath took up temporary residence in our design studio over the course of two weeks to participate alongside our team.
The task: To design and produce proposals for the forthcoming exhibition to be housed within Adain Avion, a mobile art space created from the fuselage of a DC-9 airplane, discovered and transformed by Spanish sculptor and designer Eduardo Cajal.
The installation entitled ‘collective memory of the city’, proposes progressive designs for two neglected structures in the City of Swansea, South Wales. The designs will highlight what can be possible by reusing some of our industrial and Victorian heritage.
In other news: After extensive research – proposals for a new low energy home on a very unique site in Ceredigion, West Wales have been agreed with our client.
